Ran my first 1/8th mile race of the season with the new SV1 carburetor. Didn't have very good reaction times so I lost first round but the SV1 performed well. All my runs were personal best ET's in the 1/8th mile. 6.43, 6.46, 6.47, and 6.49. All runs were 105 mph with sixty foot times between 1.39 and 1.40. The car was awesome with the SV1.
Track tested the SV1 Carb. 10.40@128 and 10.45@127 with the SV1 and 10.53@126 and 10.62@125 with the 950HP. All the sixty foot times were about the same.
Very hot day with altitude around 2200 feet.
Dyno testing Pro-Systems new SV1 Carb. So far we picked up 11 Hp at the rear wheels over the stock Holley 950HP.
New 545 engine is in the car. Getting a Dyno pull then going to the track.
Dyno shows 580hp at the rear wheels.
Ran a 10.45 @ 129.5. Did not hook up too well.
Will do some more tuning and try again in the Spring.
Ran 10.23 131mph during Geezers at the Grove
